    You don't have to ship if you don't want to. You haven't signed your final contract yet so you don't belong to the Marine Corps yet. Text your recruiter and tell them you'll let them know when you can leave town. Once you become a Marine and join the fleet, just let your Commanding Officer know when you can deploy.
