Just forget this device and purchase a proper iPad on your own. You can purchase a brand new base model iPads for much less than the costs a lawyer and all of the various legai fees. Also, Apple has more money than dirt, in its financial coffers, to fight any type of legai battles. Especially small claims legal battles.

I was not given a receipt, and have never received an actual receipt at any time. I also purchased "Apple Care" for the iPad and in addition, I traded in my old iPad. When added to the initial purchase, there were now three transactions: Purchase of the iPad to be delivered. (No receipt.) Purchase of Apple Care, for which I was issued a receipt.
