My wife has started playing pretty consistently and she prefers the Xbox ecosystem, so she’ll use the Series X more. Ps5 because: ,Vr ,Haptic ,Adaptive triggers ,3D audio ,Better exclusives imo ,Supposedly easier to develop for ,Faster (even with velocity) And Friends are on it. PS5 cuz that's where my friends are.
All PS4 and PSVR. The verdict is: the Xbox is slightly more powerful on paper. However, the differences really are minimal in practice. As you can see, they are hardware wise basically the same exact things. The Xbox cpu is clocked a little higher, the PS5 has a little more memory and the Xbox has a little more graphical power.
Xbox - Gamepass and Exclusives PS5 - Multiplatform games unless there’s obvious improvements on Series X It’s interesting reading the comments seeing the Xbox is most everyone’s main system. I bet if this was posted on the PS5 subreddit most would say the PS5 was their main console.
Xbox Series X overall for 3rd party game visuals, higher resolution. PS5 doesn't hit 4K nearly as much but fairly close and sometimes has steadier FPS because of it's lower resolutions. 12 teraflops SX, 10 teraflops PS5. Series X pc equivalent 2080 (ti) maybe, PS5 closer to the 2060 and 2070.
PlayStation seems more of a rogue variable, supporting a wider variety of content and services. Objectively I rate the PlayStation 5 slightly higher than the Xbox Series X, but not by much. The Bethesda acquisition means a lot unless Bethesda continues producing dog shit like Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls: Blades.
exvndy. • 3 yr. ago. Yes the Microsoft ecosystem they've created goes hand in hand with PC. Get game pass ultimate and play 100s of games on PC and Xbox and have cross platform saving. Also the series x is just more powerful overall compared to ps5. If your looking to add to your gaming experience and your a current PC player...
The OG Xbox was more powerful than the PS2. The Xbox 360 wasn't more powerful but ran games better anyway because it was easier to dev for. Xbox One X is more powerful than the PS4 Pro. So far the Xbox One/One S is the only console that has been undoubtedly worse than its counterpart (exclusives aside). 40.
Some pros: It's a nicer looking console aesthetically, with a smaller and far more stable shelf profile. Gamepass is a really solid value. The GUI while not perfect, is better than the PS5's which is a little sloppy this gen. The elite controller, if you have the means, is the best controller I've ever held.
PC is best. The Series X is the better console overall but if you want the PlayStation exclusives get the PS5. If you care about Sony's first party games that's the obvious answer but I find it hard to recommend it over Xbox for third party, Xbox's first party, and Game Pass. Especially as the ABK catalog gets added.
120hz VRR on Xbox is the best VRR experience on consoles. Hands down. I recently bought a PS5 during the recent sale. Mainly to play some the PS exclusives. However, I'm also an avid Elden Ring enjoyer, and sank over 100 hours last year on my Series X. So I thought, hey, why don't I replay Elden Ring on my PS5 for the hell of it.
