I prefer XDM but I have heard IDM is good too. FDM is the best imo, since it offers everything for free. You can pirate IDM's software which is even better. On Linux, aria2 would be minimal and efficient, unless you want with GUI then FDM would be a good choice. I use uGet.

I was downloading a file sized 65 GB using IDM (Internet download manager) and the download stopped running at 96%, so I tried to refresh the download address and found the file has been deleted from the website.
