I volunteered for them at the big HGCA show at Reliant in the Winter of '04/'05. I then volunteered in Aniston, AL. in the Summer of 2005. I spent the whole first day de-cosmolining 1903 rifles. The second day they had me on Garands and I impressed them enough that on the 3rd day, they put me on real M-14s that were going back into service.
During the summer, the best bite is usually between first light and about 10am, and again right near sunset. Flounder gigging is at its best during July and August, and calm nights are common. Limits of flounder in 2-4 hours are the norm during the summer for me, and it is a great way to beat the summer heat. Capt. Rick Hammond.
You only buy only 1 quart of shrimp or 5 dozen (60) croakers (or less) to put in 20 gallons of water. There is a shoal near the back and also some sandy shoals near Colds Pass that will strand a boater even yet today.

Place the stuffed summer sausage in the smoker and gradually increase the temperature gradually throughout the smoking process. The low temperature in the smoker gently cooks the sausage, preventing the fat from rendering out.
Since there are some frio river fans here and our phones are ringing all day and inboxes filling up, I wanted to give a brief update in case you are thinking about coming down this year and have an idea what's to expect. Here are some of my lessons: 1) Lost big red fish because did not have landing net. 2) Very hard to remove hooks from large fish with just wimpy forceps. 3) sand and salt water is hard on your equipment. 4) make sure your stringer of fish is separate from your bait bucket.
It's not a lot different than fishing during the month of May, except for the fact that June may get a bit warmer. Because of this, I'll generally make a few alterations when I'm fishing in June. The first will be that I'll make it a point to be situated in my first wading spot of the day just as early as I possibly can so as to enable me to ...

Remember, each pyramid is 10' wide x 8' tall - imagine coming across a 160 acre-sized reef that looks like this. It's out there now, and you can fish it 365 days/year.

A week after I got it we ran down to POC to fish federal snapper and shake down the boat. The seas were a bit bumpy in the mornings with some showers but got better in the ...
