They are definitely testing how much devaluation IHG members can withstand. IHG and Hilton members both earn 10 points per $ spend and now IHG points are similar value to Hilton points. ALL of these companies -- Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Alamo -- you name it, will screw you in a heartbeat if you're not diligent. 1) 3+ years ago hwrtz used to be different. Now they do indeed belong to the same category as enterprise budget alamo (or maybe even firefly fox etc) while pretending to be a premium provider.
