Texas A&M University International Student & Scholar Services supports international students, scholars, and their families as they navigate the U.S. immigration system and life in the U.S. We educate on policies and regulations and provide programs to enhance the Texas A&M international community experience.
Students will be able to download the digital document in the ISSS Portal. J-1 scholars and student interns will receive their digital DS-2019 via email. Front Counter Pick-Up
** If you are an F-1 or J-1 student with an I-20 or DS-2019 issued by another institution (not TAMU ISSS), you should check in using the Other Student Check-In in the ISSS portal. ISSS does not activate your F-1 or J-1 status in SEVIS, but you are still required to complete an ISSS Check-In.
The ISSS Portal is now the platform ISSS uses to manage immigration requests at TAMU. The Terra Dotta site is no longer available. The change to the ISSS Portal was in the best interest of all stakeholders of the Texas A&M international student and scholar community.
You can submit an SSN request in the Internships & Employment section of the ISSS Portal. New students will not have access to this category of the ISSS Portal until after their Check-In has been processed by ISSS.

The Other Student Check-In is an online request that international students can submit in the ISSS Portal to let ISSS know they plan to enroll and they are not in F-1 or J-1 status. By processing this request, ISSS will update your visa type in the university system and remove any registration holds from our office.
