Yep, it took me 20 minutes to remove the McAfee virus from my machine after Adobe surreptitiously installed it. What a crock. ADOBE installs security holes into a system as a condition of accepting software. And McAfee's VIRUS uninstaller won't completely remove it after you remove the two "documented" products installed.

Hi Anand, I've been using Adobe Acrobat 9.5.5 Standard for quite a few years alongside Adobe Readers. Recently (in the last quarter of 2021) the Adobe Reader updated to the latest DC version and arbitrarily removed Acrobat Standard from my system.
Complete the installation process, then reboot the machine. Once Adobe Reader is installed, located the icon, right click and choose Run as Administrator. Once Adobe Reader is installed, install the latest patch Adobe Reader 19.008.20080 from help>check for updates, reboot the machine and check.
