We take in stray, abused, abandoned, neglected, and surrendered dogs and puppies. Volunteers are needed to save these animals and find them a forever home. Volunteers 8 to 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers 16 years of age and older can volunteer alone.

Since being founded in 2008, Big Dog Ranch Rescue has saved the lives of more than 70,000 DOGS! Our mission is to save 10,000 dogs every year, to heal and place them with loving families and to educate people about the proper care for dogs and the importance of spaying and neutering.
The Big Dog Ranch Rescue Seniors for Seniors program matches Florida seniors with senior rescue dogs. It was created to address one of the most at-risk categories of canine populations - senior dogs who are 7 years or older. This volunteer-supported program consists of two opportunities.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue will provide all training and equipment for both the Veteran and dog, at NO cost to the Veteran. Each dog will be kept up to date on all vaccinations, micro-chipped, and receive reduced-cost veterinary care and services for the first year of training through Big Dog Ranch Rescue’s veterinary healing center.
