We all know, most figures are pre-ordered, if you really want something, you get it there. I'd say 88% of the figures I'd buy or want to buy end up on bigbad for pre-ordering. Which is a really good percentage considering all the websites, and toy lines, and stuff you have to visit to keep up with every coming figure.
This sort of thing isn't too uncommon. Happened last year with the Commander Bly and beskar mando waves. What's going on is Hasbro hasn't sent BBTS enough stock for pre-orders, so whatever amount they already have they're shipping off to the people who pre-ordered first, and now they're waiting for Hasbro to send more.
They're a fine, well established collectibles etailer. Though their pile of loot feature is hugely overrated. If you are buying imports or high expense collectibles, buy anywhere else and just get free shipping. If you are buying imports, buy them from established etailers that specialize in imports.
I reached out after my pre-orders kept slipping, and the customer service person I spoke with confirmed: Quite a few of BBTS's distributors have containers stuck in shipping ports. Most of the products coming on slow shipping from China, which is what 52 Toys uses to ship to BBTS, are not moving and there is almost nothing BBTS can do about it.
