It does not say required to sign in to Apple account; it says sign in to the iTunes Store, as per this screen shot: I hit Cancel over and over but it keeps popping up. It goes quiet for a short while then starts up again.

  7. The episode you downloaded should show on the right panel under "My Episodes". Go to the right top of the screen and click on the podcast settings "wheel" icon. Toggle the "Subscribed" swith from Off to On and adjust the other settings if you so desire. Click Done. You are now subscribed to the podcast.
