Raayan: Directed by Dhanush. With Dhanush, Aparna Balamurali, Devadarshini Chetan, Dileepan. A series of unfortunate events lead Raayan, a simpleton to be dragged into the dreaded world of crime and manipulation.
A unique genre, a well written story (script) & strong characters give this movie a strong start. The extravagant visuals & very detailed crisp VFX gives the audience much needed thrill.
To get a U/A rating certification in India, the movie was edited to remove or censor all nudity using CGI. For example, the scene where Tatlock and Oppenheimer have a conversation and the former character was topless, the nudity was censored with a CGI black dress.
Long Legs is yet another movie that underperforms its hyped and deceiving trailer. I went into this movie with high expectations but those expectations slowly dissipated.
The cinematography by Dariusz Wolski is of a very high order. The battle scenes are filmed well. Ridley Scott knows how to make action scenes slick and impressive. But overall it's a below average movie. Napoleon deserves better than this shambolic movie.
