The result is that I received NTTA bills for a red car even though mine was white. Despite NTTA having access to the DMV records showing that I have a white car and the pictures showing a red one and despite the red car in their image having mismatched plates, they would do nothing to help me with their absurd $50 bill. 1.
Recently, out of nowhere I received a ZipCash toll bill from NTTA (North Texas Tollway Authority). I do not live in Texas, nor have I or my vehicle ever driven in Texas. The license plate on the vehicle that used the toll is from my state but has never been associated with me, but apparently is on a similar vehicle to mine.
TXtag has revamped their website and it's easier to use, but still appears to be a mess behind the scenes. NTTA is not too functional on their web site but seems to work better. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU: Enter the correct plate and KEEP IT UPDATED WHEN YOU CHANGE PLATES. Link the correct tag to the correct plate.
The NTTA is a scam. I rarely use toll or express roads and never bought a TexTag, but I pay the mailed bills exactly when I receive them. Then in September I got a $200 collection letter from them saying that I didn’t pay the bill for 3 months.
Going through 3 months of NTTA transactions for reimbursement and was wondering what the last two digits in the location names mean. I found NTTA's ArcGIS map with toll gate/gantry locations and names so I'm able to figure out that DNT-MLP1 is Dallas North Tollway by Wycliff Ave Gantry, but what are the last two digits?
NTTA has been better. I had TxTag for a long while, and had no issues personally. I switched to NTTA 4-5 years ago after seeing some of the horror stories on this sub. I've had zero issues with NTTA driving through Austin, Dallas, or Houston,. NTTA has been trouble-free for me for the past few years.
But, although NTTA gets the benefit of the float on money in your TollTag account, I think that is more than offset by the lower toll rates for TollTag users. I had a $6k toll bill that I got sent in 2014. Turns out I used the toll roads a couple of times in 2005 and never got a bill. The late fees equaled $6000.
As the NTTA is a governmental organization, the way their accounting works is rather dramatically different that whatever scenario you’re imagining in your head. That’s…. That’s what recouping their costs means - paying off the bonds that financed the construction, as well as ongoing maintenance.
Hi, Moved a year ago to Texas and now I just bought my first trailer. I have a NTTA toll tag in my car, but, what do I need to do while towing? Didn’t find anywhere in the app to add my trailer plate to the account. TIA
