The Mayborn Museum Complex celebrates the natural science and cultural history of Central Texas. This 143,000-square-foot building on the Baylor University campus sparkles with numerous vibrant exhibits and compelling hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy over and over again.

From permanent exhibits such as Waco at the Crossroads of Texas, Strecker's Cabinets of Curiosities, Governor Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village, and Discovery Rooms to special exhibits that fill the calendar all year, the Mayborn Museum is never short of opportunities to explore and learn.
Strecker's Cabinets of Curiosities. Many of the beloved artifacts from the Strecker Museum's collections, such as the tree cross-section and the humpback whale skull, are on display. The room is patterned after the style of early natural history museums.
Providing visitors with hands-on activities, these rooms are designed to invigorate young imaginations. Children and families will be thrilled to discover the hidden colors within light, to play a tune on the walk-on piano, and to walk beside dinosaurs in the Jurassic.
Located on the Baylor University campus, the Mayborn Museum Complex features a natural science and cultural history museum focusing on Central Texas, with walk-in dioramas including one on the Waco Mammoth Site, and exploration stations for geology, paleontology, archaeology, and natural history.
