A calendar date is a reference to a particular day represented within a calendar system. The calendar date allows the specific day to be identified. The number of days between two dates may be calculated. For example, "25 August 2024" is ten days after "15 August 2024". The date of a particular event depends on the observed time zone.
The Gregorian calendar, like the Julian calendar, is a solar calendar with 12 months of 28–31 days each. The year in both calendars consists of 365 days, with a leap day being added to February in the leap years. The International Fixed Calendar (also known as the Cotsworth plan, the Cotsworth calendar, the Eastman plan or the Yearal[ 1] was a proposed calendar reform designed by Moses B. Cotsworth, first presented in 1902. [ 2] The International Fixed Calendar divides the year into 13 months of 28-days each.
