The Combo Touch can have the keyboard removed easily with the case still on the iPad itself. The footprint is bigger on the Combo Touch as the keyboard comes out in front of it rather than the iPad sitting over it. But the kickstand has a greater range on the Combo Touch than the Magic Keyboard. The Combo Touch is also £120 cheaper .
This is the best I can get using the pass through charging port in the Magic Keyboard case and the same speed connected directly into the M4 iPad Pro. As I don’t have in the moment a M4 handy, I measured quickly with the 12.9“ M1. The output from the TB port to an other device is only 7.5 W (5 V by 1.5 A).

It does not. If you want to use the iPad as a tablet, you’d need to detach it. I’m not sure I’d like using the iPad naked. Thinking of also keeping the keyboard folio and possibly just detaching from the magic keyboard and attaching to the folio when I want to use as a tablet for extra protection.
