Total price in USD $460 unit+ $120 shipping= $580 usd. It was shipped DHL and there import fees/duty was $25. Unit arrived in perfect condition and it's up and working.
I have purchased a Li 48v battery bank for my Promaster van conversion. Trying to decide which all-in-one system to purchase. MPP 3048 LV-MK or Growatt 3kw 48v ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. David.
Potential Disadvantages: Solar Panel config producing 139.77 open circuit voltage is Close to the 145 oc v spec.of LV2424; and the potential 113.79 vdc from solar panels array is very close to the LV2424's MPPT max with specs (30 - 115 vdc).

So, I connected the batteries in series to my MPP unit, turned it on, inputted the settings as listed in this post, switched on the PV and noticed that the PV was charging the batteries (green light was blinking on unit). The batteries voltage was reading 27.2V (or 13.6V per battery in series).
LiPo chargers do not employ any kind of absorption charge. The charger goes into constant voltage mode at the end of the charge and never applies more than 4.2v - the standard fully charged voltage of a LiPo. At the termination of a LiPo charge, the voltage holds very close to 4.2v after the charger is disconnected.
Where as utility power goes straight through for Growatt, for the MPP, utility power goes through A/D then D/A converters, thus reducing overall efficiency. On the flip side, for the same reasons, Growatt's transfer time is rated at 10-20ms, where as it's 0ms for the MPP.

Jun 1, 2022. #2. Of course your laptops don't have an "RG45" connector, because it doesn't exist. Old laptops used to have ethernet with a colloquially named "RJ45" connector and hey, some still do. But that would have never plugged into the MPP device, as MPP doesn't have ethernet.
