Uniqlo sources from Kaihara, and if you know anything about denim, Japanese denim is very, very respected among denim-heads. Within that circle Kaihara is very well known for its quality. Look for the items that specifically mention Kaihara denim in the description. Stay away from anything that contains polyester or polyurethane.
But inflation in 2022 and 2023 has caught up with Uniqlo and t-shirts that used to be $10 are now $25 and jeans that used to be $30 are now $50. I buy end of season and off season. The Uniqlo was too short at the back and went with a synthetic Decathlon MT100. Not as light as the down version but you dont have to carry the weight of knowing that goose had to suffer for your jacket. Also the arms are longer which is nice. So when you are taller, go with decathlon. But take a size bigger than usual.
