CRA locked account - my experience. I was one of the users who was affected by the recent 'data breach' which locked tens of thousands of people out of their CRA account. I haven't received any direct communication from the CRA in regards to this outside of the email that my email address has been removed from my account.
I just called CRA. The agent says the problem of ERR.210 is that in the past 3 years people did not file a tax return to the CRA. For new tax residents in Canada, people should file their first tax return to the CRA. After receiving the notice of assessment, they can register a new CRA account with the S.I.N. number.
You don't. You wait for your Notice of Assessment in the mail and then you can create a MyAccount on CRA. It’s my first year filing taxes so my CRA account is non existent right now. So I called CRA to see how I am able to receive CERB/CESB and I just need to change my address with the operator.
You’d have to call to get them anywhere. To get this straight: you owed money from 2020, and had a refund from 2021. You paid the full amount owing from 2020, and your account shows a credit for the 2021 refund. First you have the big yellow Covid-19 info box, then you have a green "Sign-In Partner Login/Registration" button, then below that a green "CRA login" button. And below that, though not relevant it sounds, a green "BC Services Card login". Just make sure to click the first one for partner login. 1. Reply.
You are only charged a late filing fee if you owe the CRA money. If you are getting a refund they will not charge a late filing fee. Straight from the CRA website, emphasis mine If you file your tax return after the due date and have a balance owing, you will be charged a late-filing penalty.
ANSWER: 10,000 CRA account login were released on the dark web. You have to call in with SIN and a previous tax return. Change info and a security question. I'm not sure that's actually true. I've been locked out of my account 2 years in a row while trying to file my taxes while outside the country.
It looked like everything was fine --- and then the screen went from my banking credentials to the CRA and then to the CRA's ERR.112 message. Apparently, there is a behind the scenes CRA aspect beyond the partner log-in. The CRA staffer said my credentials with CRA had expired so I have to re-credential on their end with a fresh code. Don't ...
If you don’t know your password or questions you would have to re-register. CRA can only reset your attempts. If you re-register you’ll have access to all of the same information. Call CRA and they can unlock your account. But you can't change your security questions, you'll have to make another account.
They claimed my account was disabled as a precaution due to my account getting flagged through their cybersecurity reports. Email removal is part of process. The CRA rep advised there can only be 1 login method: Username/PW or through your banking partner.
