Consistent with the inflation target and growth outlook, the MPC set the Central Bank Rate (CBR) at 5.5 percent for the first quarter of 2024. The Bank of Tanzania will use monetary policy instruments to align the 7-day interbank rate with the CBR. The use of any of these instruments will be announced and communicated to the market.
