During the National Corvette Museum’s 28th Anniversary Celebration, Plant Director Kai Spande gave us the fantastic news that assembly plant tours would resume beginning November 1st. Today is the big day, and we can share the pricing information and other details for setting up your tour of the home of America’s Favorite Sports Car.
The last general public tour went through on June 16, 2017 and since then the plant was reconstructed for the production of the next-generation Corvette which will officially start retail production in February 2020.
At this time, tours can only be booked through the end of March 2023. Members can schedule and purchase plant tours by logging into their Member’s Only Portal. Plant Tours are set to resume! Tours will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. National Corvette Museum members qualify for early booking access, beginning on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Tour scheduling will take place at the time of purchase with public tours expected to resume before the end of the year.
The plant has the flexibility to continue building C7s, so the front-engine Corvette’s future availability will theoretically be geared to demand. Expect a base C8 to cost between $60-70,000 and be powered by a 6.2-liter LT2 V-8 delivering at least 500 horsepower.
