DTV always updates HDCP whenever it is updated and usually if the TV is less then 2 years old so do the TV makers. If you are not using HDMI then you shouldn't be getting that message. You can try a red button reset on the HR22 behind the access door on the lower right hand side of the front panel.
2 years ago. To answer your question, Yes, you can use Directv Stream in more than one household I am currently sharing with 2 other households. They only have 1 TV per household but they are ok with that. You are allowed 3 streams outside of your home network 2 of which can be TVs your third stream would be for a phone/tablet/computer.

The best I can do is tell you that I do the following things: 1. Go to my library. 2. Click on the show or group I want. 3. Then there is a list of recordings but no play arrow like you see on my phone app, or a firestick, or a TV with the Direct TV device plugged in and use the Direct TV remote. 4.

Check for any firmware/software updates for the TV. Make sure neither DirecTV box or TV is plugged into a 'smart' power strip. If TV has HDMI-CEC turn it off. Oh and make sure no other HDMI devices are plugged into the TV. Just in case a weird HDCP handshake issue is part of the problem.
