Snowboarder trash like me aren't allowed at 2 of the mountains : (. Epic pass just gives you park city and the canyons, along with a couple days at snowbasin (2 days for local pass I think it is). Now getting up to snowbasin and park city are a LOT easier than any of the canyons. For the canyon resorts expect to be at the entrance to the canyon ...
Even at the epic local price the value is simply too good for many people. As a Midwesterner whose local hill is on the Epic Pass, it would cost me THREE TIMES as much, if not more, to both have a season pass locally here AND take a trip for a week a year to proper mountains if I stood in principle and didn't buy epic
Living in Summit county is a huge advantage. I would upgrade to full epic so you can rip vail whenever you want, especially on those mid-week storms when there wont be 9486457456 people from Denver who have the epic local and are trying to ski those rare weekend storms. If you were living in Denver/Boulder, I would say stick with the local pass ...

Only downside is that Stevens’s traffic is utter nightmare ...

epic local. tahoe local. Big difference is access to Whistler. 10 holiday-restricted days with Local vs advanced ticket rate with Tahoe. If you only ride in Tahoe, get the Tahoe local pass. If you travel and ride, get the Epic Local Pass. If you only ski in Tahoe, forget both and buy the value pass.
So parsing through the Epic Coverage Terms and Conditions, based on Section C1 it looks to me like you potentially have two choices to make: Choose Core Season, or Priority Days. IF (and as far as I can tell, ONLY if) you choose Core Season, you then need to select either a Primary Resort, or All Resorts. If I'm reading Section D correctly: If ...
Select Pass is the way to go if you only go during the week and/or after 3pm on the weekends/holidays. Great option if you like to avoid weekend morning/holiday crowds.
