CMU acceptance rates? So CMU's acceptance rates are between 10-15%. Pretty low, even lower if you're going into computer science. Does Anybody Know the Approximate Acceptance Rate of the CMU Pre-College Programs? I'm planning on signing up for specifically the Computer Science Scholars program regardless of acceptance rate, but it's just a thought that's been nagging me recently.

No. It's a research university, and so they're going to naturally emphasize grad programs that include research pretty heavily. It doesn't make it a degree mill, because they certainly work for their degrees. Yes, strong agree with the other commenter about the "professional" master's racket.
