I have to shut down Windows 10 completely. Also, some programs in Windows 10 (in Parallels 11) cannot be resized. Please change the VM settings like described below and check the issue: 1. Open VM configurations. 2. Choose Options -> Full screen -> click "active Screen corners". 3. move your mouse on the right corner and exit from the Full screen.
nikeitan Member. Messages: 28. ctrl-alt show parallels application menu. Go to view menu and select the new viewing mode (windowed for example). Also there is a setting in the VM configuration to set a screen angle to exit full screen. hope this help. nikeitan, Feb 12, 2011. #2.
Since the window is black, I cannot see where to click. Restarting the win10 machine is not applicable because those running apps prevent a restart. The only solution is to reset the parallel machine. This is a major bug. I am thinking to switch back to VMWare or a physical machine. HaoL2, Sep 21, 2022.

I'm a long-time user of Parallels Desktop for Mac (since v5!) and found this to be a very suitable replacement. However, I find that once I enter full screen mode, there is no way to exit back to a windowed ...

Miles_Teg Member. I am unable to exit Full Screen in PD16 and macOS Big Sur. I have followed the directions in this article, but moving the pointer to the top of the screen does not make the macOS menu bar appear, and using CTRL+CMD+F doesn't work either. The only way I can exit Full Screen is to shut down the VM and start it up in windowed mode.
27. I am running Parallels Desktop 9 (Build 9.0.23136) and I have a VM that I start up in Full Screen mode. With the latest Parallels update, every time I start up this VM, the Exit Full Screen translucent tip window that says "To switch from Full Screen to Window mode, press Ctrl+Cmd+F". Each time I check the "Do not show again" check box, but ...
1. ammonkc said: What version of parallels are you guys using. I used to be able to switch virtue desktops with ctrl + shift + arrow key but when I updated to the final version that wouldn't work anymore. I'm using build 1848 (June 12, 2006). It seems like in this version parallels lets windows take complete control of the keyboard and mouse so ...
