Universal Orlando has announced that Loews Portofino Bay Hotel is set to undergo exterior renovations beginning June 2023. Portofino is almost always more expensive, exception when a big convention books RP. RP advantage is that it's so close to the parks, 5 minute walk and you're there. RP has one really good pool. Portofino has two really good pools with completely different ambiance. They also have a third smaller pool, that's private since hardly anyone goes there.
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel will undergo guest room renovations in the first and second quarters of 2020. During this time, work will be done by floor and temporary walls will be put in place to close off the hallways where renovations are taking place. During this time, there will be noise in some areas where enhancements are taking place.
Any chance the portifino bay hotel will be renovated before fall 2014? Opened in 2002 renovated in 2007 so hoping they consider it ever 5 years. Going in 2014 and was excited to stay there but there are a lot of troubling reviews on tripadvisor about roaches and the general worn out dirty look of the rooms.

Just a few scribbles. All deluxe hotels are at capacity this month (80%). Crowds are very large in parks and long lines for everything. Citywalk resturants are booked solid every night. Tough to get a reservation unless you book in advance. Some TM,s are saying it's like precovid. While...
