Bad news: I think it won't happen soon as if they make gpt-4 free, it will increase cost by a LOT and most of paid users pay $ 20 for gpt 4 and don't have as much use of the others, except maybe browse with bing. Use claude 2 by anthropic instead of GPT3.5, use bard's image recognition instead of GPT-4 vision.

Tomorrow they will announce new features for ChatGPT. For all we know the GPT-4 version indeed has been watered down like many felt like it did the last week and is gonna be the Legacy branding and free for everyone. It was always a matter of time to make GPT-4 the default and drop GPT-3.
