May 20, 2021. #11. Well folks, I just spoke with a Tesla Representative concerning SirrusXM. I was informed that they have no plans to include the software. They want you to use Slacker Radio for $9.99 monthly which is included in the model 3. Of course, they are not interested in what the customer wants.
Apr 15, 2020. #1. 2020 Model X -. I've noticed a fairly consistent pattern with a problem with the SXM radio. It has persisted through a couple recent software upgrades. Here is the issue: I will have a station on. Turn the car off to do something for a few minutes to an hour or so, and upon return, there is no SXM audio.
Model Y's don't come with electronics to get Sirius XM satellite signals. If your phone plan has unlimited data, you can download Sirius XM and presumably the phone can stream SXM data to MCU by it's bluetooth connection. But I have yet to see any way to add SXM to the Console audio options.

I have a Tesla OEM SiriusXM tuner installed in a 2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range The MCU recognizes the tuner I have SiriusXM audio source listed (and enabled) under... teslamotorsclub.com. There is a lot of information including MY specific installation information. For me, the hardest part is acquiring the Model S/X radio.

However, Tesla is not maintaining the app. SXM updated channels several months ago and a number of channels changed locations. One example is the Escape channel which I have listened to for years on Channel 69.

2018 Model S 100 - SXM updated channels several months ago and a number of channels changed locations. One as an example is the Escape which was previously on Channel 69 but was moved to Channel 149. My Model S still shows the artwork for Escape on channel 69 but plays the Broadway channel music.
Kentucky. Mar 7, 2022. #2. You need to refresh the radio to update it first at Sirius XM Refresh, if you haven't done that. Also, get your radioID if you haven' t gotten that. I have loss of SXM volume at times.
On a "real" SXM receiver you can see the signal strength of each and know whether you're getting the repeater or direct signal. It also appears that AT&T's recent purchase of some bandwidth is superseding the SXM signal. " Band 30 LTE is destroying Sirius and XM reception nationwide.
There isn't an app for SXM, just a radio. It's Sirius XM that advertises compatibility with the model S and X for Travel Link, weather nav and Traffic based on the radio code and model of the radio. But, they don't know why the selection doesn't show up. Claiming it should appear just below Direct Tune on the left column.
