I remember hearing it frequently on 93.3 "The Bone" in Dallas which played new and classic rock (the station no longer exists, but i heard the song frequently in 2008). This may be the band's only song to air on the radio. I don't remember any of the lyrics, and I have scoured the internet through similar artists sites. I am at my wits end.

Does anyone remember a song from the 90s (I believe) where the singer is a diner waitress and at one point she's playing a violin while standing on the diner's counter? The singer has black curly hair and is wearing a green dress. That's all I can remember. But I used to love that song. Ugh
