1. Open the email message in the new Windows in Outlook. 2. Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner of the screen. 3. Click on "Properties" in the right-hand column. 4. Look for the "Message ID" field in the "Internet headers" section. You can refer to View internet message headers in Outlook - Microsoft Support.
It appears either Microsoft's email servers are what was "hacked" more generally or an email spoofing has taken place on a mass level. I just found the same in my junk/spam so Microsoft's spam filters at least are already aware this is a widespread problem.

Hey, The option you're looking for isn't available so what you can do is create a new Outlook.com ID of your desire and then you can add that Id as an Alias to your previous Account. Thanks! Truth is still truth, even if you don't believe in it. You shouldn't create a new Microsoft ID and then try to add it as an alias.

You will see: If you click on the Mail icon, Outlook Mail will open. This is how it was two years ago: You may have a welcome to Outlook Mail email. Otherwise, you Inbox will be empty. If you click New to compose an email, your Gmail address and server will be used to send the message. Any replies will go to the Gmail server.
