Great Lakes Aquarium opened its doors on the Duluth waterfront in 2000 and has been growing and changing ever since. The Aquarium features animals and habitats found within the Great Lakes Basin as well as animals from other freshwater ecosystems such as the Amazon River.
The 85,000-gallon Isle Royale exhibit contains fish found in the Great Lakes. This two-story exhibit is divided into three sections: The largest of the habitats features native Lake Superior fish that could be found swimming in colder, deeper waters such as trout, lake sturgeon, and burbot.

Buy Tickets. Each ticket and ticket code is unique and every visitor in your party must have an individual ticket. The exception is for children age 2 and under. These young visitors receive free admission to the Aquarium. Redeem your tickets by bringing your order confirmation (including bar codes) to the front desk on the day of your visit.
The Aquarium is accessible by cycle- and footpath along the Duluth Lakewalk (from Canal Park), via the Cross-City Trail (from Lincoln Park) and also via the Harbor Drive / 5th Avenue West bridge (from downtown Duluth).
Monetary donations are not available. The maximum donation for each ticket request is: two (2) complimentary adult admission tickets and two (2) complimentary child admission tickets. Please allow at least 30 days before the date of your event for your request to be processed.
