The easiest way to do this is to use after effect and export it as a quick time animation with rgb+alpha channel. Look it up on youtube there are tutorials. Photoshop > Save for Web is still I think pretty much the best tool out there for making transparent GIFs. GIFs only have 1-bit transparency.

For Canva, your best bet is to put a solid background color and just key it out. For photoshop, use hard edges (I'd suggest pencil tool unless you find something else to work) or you'll get white artifacts (termed "halos") I have the same issue. I can create a GIF with transparent background on https://gifmaker.me/ but could not in Canva.

Not every file is created equally, and davinci is notoriously bad at supporting videos with transparency data. its not good at exporting them, not good at importing. converting the gif to a png image sequance is probably your best bet, You could also try the codecs DnxHR, prores or cineform. 2.
Sort by: blind-as-fuck. • 2 yr. ago. to make a transparent one, just don't use a background lol it's like that by default. if you want a background, then under the "animation" tab there's an option to "always display the first frame" or something like that (my version isn't in english ), and just make your first frame your background. GIF as a format doesn't allow for partial transparency in the alpha channel. A pixel is either fully transparent, or fully opaque. That said, I honestly don't know if GIF with alpha is made available in Premiere. I checked the exporting settings for GIF and Animated GIF and didn't see anything regarding for alpha.
Your background needs to be transparent. Find an image you like, cut out the background, pull onto AE and add puppets to mess with components, animate and export as gif. If you need specific components moving then you’ll need to cut out each item (ie arm, leg, head, etc.) 2. Reply.
Does anyone have like a high quality transparent gif of confetti? I do have this video of confetti on a greenscreen if anyone's willing to make one using this as well. Edit: Doesn't have to be real confetti, if you have a good looking gif of animated confetti that's fine too. Took me a while but, here it is.
"Is there really no way to Export a Movie or GIF with a transparent background in 2021?" Not with CSP. It can't (even) export animated GIFs with transparency. And it only exports videos in AVI and MP4, neither of which support transparency. APNG (animated sticker) format can export transparency, but not everything accepts that format.
Here's an example. Mechanical workflow; In RGB mode create a circular shape and add a circular transparent gradient in the colour of the glow in the destination GIF. Convert to a two colour indexed image, remove the BG colour and simply copy and paste in to the destination file. 3.
