I just got approved for a low limit $500 see will see in 3 months if I receive an increase. This was for Canadian tire MasterCard. Reply.

Any 20x 30x etc.. offers, are based on the Triangle base rewards earn rate of 0.4%. So if you go to a CT store and pay with a non CT credit card, debit or cash, and scan your Triangle rewards card, 0.4% will be your return on that purchase (pre-tax). A CT Triangle credit card will earn 10x (or 4%) on that same purchase (again pre-tax).

Used my triangle credit card for 35L at $1.869/L, and got 5c/L on triangle rewards and 348+70(20% RBC bonus) = 672 Petro points. From the Canadian Tire points, I got 5c/L in points which is more than saving 3c/L with my RBC credit card.
