Tried my luck yesterday asking for a CLI on my Express credit card from Comenity bank knowing it might be a HP. All my CR's are on ice so figured it won't go through if they do try and pull a report. I was granted a $900 CLI bringing my limit to $4700 and no hard pull. I waited 24 hours to see if anything would pop up and no alerts or anything ...
AMEX Everyday Preferred is only 3% on groceries with a $6,000 per year cap. Otherwise it's 2% for gas and 1% for everything else. And the AF free AMEX Everyday is even worse. Now granted if you use the card 30 times per month you get a little 50% extra points bonus. But 3% on $6,000 per year grocery spend is only $180 and they are charging you ...

Comenity Bank - Express Card CC Decrease. I received an alert this morning from MyFico. Upon review I learned that my Express Credit Card through Commenity Bank had decreased my credit limit from $750 to $100. I recently used the card after a few months of no activity and paid the balance off before the statement cut.

While most people don't have utility bills in excess of $500+ a month, you could possibly exceed the Cash+ limits of $2000 per quarter if you do, in which case the Bread Rewards could continue to earn you nearly 4% once you max out the Cash+. Re: Comenity Bank requesting verification (Express, J Crew, Eddie Bauer) It can very well be a fraud case they're looking into. As the previous user stated, they're verifying the records to make it's you. Applying for a lot of cards all at once with the same card issuer can trigger this.
This card gets maybe $50 of spend every year depending on offers i get from express. and i've been able to get incremental increases over the passed 4 years. started at $500 and is now a total of $4k (previous line was $3k) Data Points: FICO 8 EX 755/TU 777/EQ783 (CLI was a SP) AAoA - 4 years. UTI time of CLI request - 2% of $185k.
